Kambua was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. Her love for music has grown into a strong passion over the years.
Kambua graced the Kenyan Music scene in 2004 with her song ‘Amani’ (peace). She was awarded 'Best Solo Vocalist' in a competition sponsored by an Italian NGO, and run by Radio Waumini. In 2004 she sung and served with Passport Incorporated, based in Birmingham, Alabama. Kambua has worked as a Background Vocalist for various artists.
In December 2005, Kambua left for Canada, to pursue a BA in Music at Ambrose University, her major being Classical Voice. She has been a member of the Legacy Youth Conference (LYC) band, in Calgary, Alberta.
In the summer of 2007, Kambua completed a Performance Program at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. NISHIKILIE (hold on to me) - the 9 track gospel album, is a fusion of various genres of music. She was crowned Female Artiste of the Year at the 2009 Groove Awards, held in Kenya. She was also awarded the 2008 Afro-fusion Female Artist of the Year. Her album ‘Nyumbani‘ was very well received and her latest album, ‘Nishikilie‘ is available on iTunes. Both albums are done in both Kiswahili and English.
She wants to be a voice for women and children in developing countries and is currently the host of a gospel show, ‘Rauka‘, on Citizen TV.
